Tower check

Falls from height are the biggest cause of death in the workplace. On average 45 people die and 3750 major injuries occur every year (that is over 300 reported serious injuries every month).

Good to Go Safety™ is a safe equipment management system (SEMS), providing essential safety checks for operatives prior to using a scaffolding tower. These simple checks will significantly improve worker safety and avoid costly accidents.

Good to Go Safety™ can help improve worker safety when working at height. A scaffold tag is attached to the tower tube as part of your safety management system. A checklist provides a pre use scaffold inspection to be undertaken as required by WAHR. This safety check can reduce the risk of falls from height or a scaffold collapse.

  • Ensures compliance with PUWER, WAHR, PASMA & HSE legislation and best practice. Without this, if there is an accident and the HSE bring a prosecution to court, your company could be found to be negligent in discharging its duties under the Health & Safety at Work Act. This could mean that your company insurance could be invalidated. Ultimately the directors could be found to be personally liable and incur unlimited fines.
  • Instantly visible at the point of entry to scaffold tower, ensuring checks are carried out prior to use.
  • A robust, UV stable and water resistant status pod enables both internal & external usage. Scaf climb
  • Quick, easy to use check list ensures key safety checks are carried out prior to use. The operator simply completes the comprehensive check list, signs and dates it. Once inserted into the pod it provides a clear visual statement of the ladder status.
  • Allows the pod to be instantly updated following any structural alterations, after periods of bad weather, or as part of its seven day check.
  • Clearly identifies when the tower is ‘good to go’ or when it should not be used. Annual kit
  • Designed to fit flush to scaffolding poles, easily secured with cable ties.
  • A tamper evident seal ensures validity of the check list, preventing potential tampering with check lists. A duplicate copy of the completed check list is also maintained in the check book for reference, in accordance with industry guidelines and legislation.

The result of an inspection should be recorded and displayed until the next inspection is carried out. These records should be kept at the site where the inspection was carried out, until construction work is completed, thereafter they should be kept at an office for a further three months.
